Hosted in collaboration with Ankara Kent Konseyi, Ankara Üniversiteliler Derneği, and the TAİPEİ Ekonomi ve Kültür Misyonu, the “Taiwan Culture Day and Spring Festival Gathering” was held in Ankara as a meaningful event contributing to intercultural dialogue and friendship.
The program featured:
An introductory slide presentation on the Spring Festival, offering insights into the historical and cultural background of Taiwan’s most significant traditional celebration.
A Taiwan documentary screening, providing participants with a comprehensive perspective on the island’s efforts to cooperate in earthquake relief
A mini piano concert, bringing the elegant melodies of East Asia to the audience.
A musical performance by students of Ankara University, highlighting the valuable contribution of young people to cultural exchange.
A paper-cutting workshop, where participants had the opportunity to experience the traditional red paper decorations that symbolize the spirit of the Spring Festival.
The event contributed to strengthening constructive dialogue and mutual understanding between Ankara and Taiwan, once again demonstrating the unifying power of culture and the spirit of renewal and hope that spring represents.
